UnifiedMemory is optimized for atomic, reusable facts. The retain path accepts raw content, but the runtime should preserve evidence and promote only useful claims.
Good candidates
- Owner preferences that should affect future work.
- Project decisions with durable consequences.
- Tool outcomes or fixes that are likely to recur.
- Current canonical facts with clear scope.
Bad candidates
- Full assistant answer dumps.
- Greetings, acknowledgements, emoji-only messages.
- Generic web facts unrelated to the owner or project.
- Secrets, credentials, cookies, or bearer tokens.
- Smoke, benchmark, eval, or diagnostic rows.
